DOUBLE SORROW
VISITS THE FAMILY
OF MRS. SHADBOLT

Martin E. Garrity, Sr., of Chicago, died Saturday morning after an illness of 22 months. Mrs. Garrity, formerly Vista Blood, of Grinnell, was the daughter of Mrs. Shadbolt.

Within 12 hours word was received of the sudden death of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. E.L. Blood, of Goshen, Ind.

Mr. Garrity was an employee of the J.P. Smith Shoe Co. of Chicago for 25 years and had made frequent visits to Grinnell with his family.

He is survived by his wife and one son, Martin Jr., a well-known magazine cartoonist.
