KATHRYN LAGRANGE BLOOD

Kathryn LaGrange Blood was born April 1, 1893 (tombstone dated 1891) in Victor, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. LaGrange. She had been in poor health for several years, but for the past 8 months, although not bedfast, life was uncertain from day to day. She passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 22, 1944 at 3 p.m. of a cerebral hemorrhage, at her home in Goshen, Indiana.

Sept. 17, 1914, at Newton, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Everett L. Blood. To this union was born one daughter, Marilyn.

Mr. and Mrs. Blood have lived in Grinnell, in Northern Iowa, Des Moines, but for the past number of years in Goshen, Indiana. Mrs. Blood was a member of the Congregational Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband and daughter, her mother, Mrs. Richard Gwinn of Victor, Iowa; one brother, Hugh LaGrange of Tama, Iowa; and a half-sister, Mrs. James Tuttle, of Victor, Ia.

Funeral services were held in the Smith Funeral Home Thursday, 2 p.m., Jan. 27, 1944, with the Rev. G.L. McKinney, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ed Bohstedt and Mrs. Howard Hyde, accompanied by Mrs. Paul Behm who also played by request, "The Old Refrain," by Kreisler, a favorite of the deceased.

Pallbearers were Chas. Manly, Roy Bates, Paul Meyers, Howard Sage, John Mehlin and Clyde Connelly. Interment was made in the Hazelwood Cemetery.
