FUNERAL RITES
HELD TODAY FOR
DELLA SCHWARTZ

Funeral services for Della Schwartz, who died at her Grinnell home last Monday morning, were held this afternoon (Thursday) from the James-Schalinski Funeral Home with Prof. L.P. Sherman officiating.

Organ music was furnished by Mrs. Kathleen Heffner. Pall bearers were Mervin Morgan, Gene Morgan, Richard Osborn, Robert Morgan, Kenneth Paul and Ben Reynolds. Interment was at Hazelwood cemetery.

Daughter of Melvin and Nancy Lytle Hammell, she was born on Jan. 30th, 1887, at Des Moines. Mrs. Schwartz had made her home in Grinnell since 1947 and previous to then had lived in Sioux City, California, and Washington.

She was married to Thomas Cox on March 19th, 1924, who preceded her in death. She was then married to Fred Schwartz on Oct. 22nd, 1932 and he also preceded her in death on Sept. 28th, 1946.

Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the Christian Science church.

Survivors include two nephews in Sioux City, another in California, a niece in Minnesota, and a cousin, Mrs. Robert Morgan of Brooklyn.
