VICKROY RITES HELD AT MARION

Funeral services for M. Dean Vickroy were conducted by the Rev. Jean Hauter and Marion Lodge No. 6, A.F. and A.M., at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, Iowa.

Mrs. Douglas Horner was the organist. Interment was at Cedar Memorial Park.

Mr. Vickroy, a former Montezuma resident and a resident of Marion for the past eight years, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 17, in a Cedar Rapids hospital.

The son of Jasper and Alma Clark Vickroy, he was born on July 14, 1919, at Chariton. On April 20, 1947, he was married to Gerry M. Dailey at Des Moines.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II and operated the Vickroy Jewelry Store in Montezuma for ten years. He has been associated with Siegel Jewelry in Cedar Rapids for six years.

He was a member of the Montezuma Presbyterian Church and Past Master of the Lafayette Lodge No. 52, A.F. and A.M. of Montezuma and a Past Patron of Lafayette Chapter No. 232, O.E.S. of Montezuma.

Surviving are his wife; three children, Jean, Alan and David at home; three brothers, R. Kenneth of Jacksonville, Fla., Harold of Charleston, Ill., and Orville of Cresco; three sisters, Mrs. Matt (Leona) Hughes of Gilman City, Mo., Mrs. Jack (Dorothy) Reeves of Milo and Mrs. Albert (Cleo) Griffiths of Des Moines.
