Obituary- ANDREWS

LYDIA MORGAN, daughter of WILLIAM and SOPHIA MORGAN, was born February 3, 1862, near Montezuma, Ia.; and passed away at her home on Bow Creek on March 2, 1948, at the age of 86 years and 28 days.
She resided in the community of her birth until 1879, when she was united in marriage to REUBEN ANDREWS on December 1,

They came to Kansas in the spring of 1880 and located on a homestead eight miles south of Glade, where they remained and reared a family of five children, four sons and one daughter. Another daughter died in infancy in 1890.
Mr. Andrews' death occurred nearly one year ago.
The surviving children are ARCH of Glade,; CLARENCE, of Russell Springs, Kans; FRED I. of Speed; JOSE RUTHERFORD of Kirwin; and SCOTT C. of the home.
Mrs . Andrews was a member of the Methodist church , and with her husband and family attended as long as church services were held in their community.
She was a great lover of her home and family, and was always ready and willing to help others in sickness and death. She was one of a family of eleven children. Only one brother and two sisters survive her. She leaves five grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Smith Memorial chapel in Stockton, Saturday afternoon, March 6 th , with REV. F. M. MC DONALD in charge. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery at Phillipsburg.

NOTE: Reuben & Lydia was married 1 Dec, 1879.
