FUNERAL SUNDAY FOR
MRS. W.B. RHINEHART

Mrs. W.B. Rhinehart died early last Friday morning enroute to a hospital in Grinnell. Mrs. Rhinehart, who had lived in this community all of her life, had been ill for only a short time and had taken care of business matters in town the day prior to her death. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Church of the Brethren in charge of the Rev. Leslie Rogers. Mrs. Ed Bartachek, pianist, accompanied Kathleen and Jo Ann Hulsebus singing, "Shall We Gather at the River" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers: Leonard Roth, James Rhinehart, Edwin Rhinehart, Richard Rhinehart, William Rhinehart and Ronald Rhinehart. In charge of flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Connell, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Connell and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Connell.

Mary S. Rhinehart, daughter of John Werner and Sarah Miller Werner, was born Nov. 25, 1881, and died July 6, 1962. Her mother died when she was five years old.

On Feb. 27, 1900, she was married to Walter B. Rhinehart in the home of her father in Warren township. The couple lived near Brooklyn until moving into town in 1939. Mrs. Rhinehart had been an active member of the Church of the Brethren for many years.

She is survived by her husband and the following eight children: Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Roth, Leo, John, Raymond and Clarence, all of Brooklyn; Kenneth of Hartwick; Mrs. Orville (Evelyn) Prusek of Cedar Rapids and Wayne of Ames. She also leaves 35 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
