Pauline J. Peters, 88, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Grinnell, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1919, near Brooklyn to Orie and Emma J. Ryan. She attended Newburg schools and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1936. After graduation, she worked at Grinnell State Bank until her marriage in July 1945, to Delmar Peters of Montezuma. They moved to Phoenix where she worked at Valley National Bank until retiring as vice president in 1984.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald H. Ryan of Payson, Ariz., and Archie Ryan of Grundy Center; and four sisters, Helen Woodward, Lola Borning, Phyllis Lowe and Patty J. Ryan of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers, Wesley, Everett, Merle, Richard, Eldon and Harold Ryan.
Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
