DELORES E. LUNDY, 67

Delores Ellen Lundy, 67, Montezuma, died Thursday, April 18, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center of cancer.

A funeral was April 22 at First Presbyterian Church in Montezuma with the Rev. Dr. George Salnave and the Revs. Kevin Korver and Ken Korver officiating. Interment was in Friends Cemetery, New Sharon. Casket bearers were Kyle Korver, Klay Korver, Mike Lindeman, Larry House, DeAnthony Bowden, Klint Korver, Nick Mulder and Luke Ballenger. Honorary bearers were Kaleb Korver, Kirk Korver, Kurtis Korver and Lewis Lundy. Memorials are to First Presbyterian or the Presbyterian Family Center. Arrangements were by Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Mrs. Lundy was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Boyden, Iowa, the daughter of Arnold and Cornelia (Kooiman) Wassink. She graduated from Ripon High School, Modesto Junior College, and Central College in Pella.

On Oct. 22, 1955, she married Lewis Lundy in New Sharon. She taught art in the Montezuma Community School system for 30 years. She was involved in the ministry of First Presbyterian Church, serving as choir director, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the session. She had become a Master Gardener.

Mrs. Lundy also belonged to the Mother's Club, Laura Dixon Guild, Presbyterian Women and P.E.O.

Surviving are her husband, Lewis Lundy; a son, Chan (& Greta) Lundy of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Laine (& Kevin) Korver of Pella and Lisa (& Ken) Kover of Paramount, Calif.; two sisters, Darlene Cenotto of Jackson, Calif., and Dorae Bowen of Grants Pass, Ore.; a brother, Dallas Wassink of Grants Pass; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother, and a sister.
