JOYCE DAVIS

Joyce C. Davis, 53, of Malcom died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at St. Francis Manor.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Del Dawes officiating. Interment was in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom. Memorials may be made to the Malcom United Methodist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.smithfh.com.

She was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Marshalltown to Donald and Meredith Potter Mull. She was raised in Toledo and graduated from South Tama High School.

She was married on Sept. 11, 1971, to Dennis Davis in Malcom where they lived for most of their married life. She was a homemaker who worked briefly for DeLong Sportswear in Grinnell. She enjoyed fishing in local farm ponds, reading, being with her grandchildren and her pets.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Davis of Malcom; two sons, Steve Davis of Newton and Paul Davis of Searsboro; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Don Mull of Cedar Rapids, Mike Mull of Iowa, Laverne Mull of Colorado and Rick Mull of Tama, and one sister, Linda Putz of Lacona. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Judy Neitzel.
