PAULINE DELONG

Pauline Thomas DeLong, 90, of the Mayflower died of cancer Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Mayflower Health Care Center.

The body was cremated. A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

She was the daughter of Frederick W.C. and Bertha Advena Thomas and was born Feb. 20, 1909, at Philadelphia. She was raised and spent most of her life there, working as a nutritionist for an elementary school.

She was married to Karl C. DeLong.

Mrs. DeLong had been a resident of Grinnell since 1980. She was a member of the Grinnell United Church of Christ-Congregational.

Surviving are one son, Karl of Grinnell; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
