JASON E. HOTCHKIN

Jason Eugene Hotchkin, 19, Kellogg, died Aug. 17 in Grinnell.

The mass of the resurrection was held Saturday, Aug. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Dr. Anthony G. Farrell as celebrant. Music was by Kathleen Heffner, organist, and St. Mary's choir. Pallbearers were Curt Babbitt, Shawn Carpenter, Aaron Collins, Chad Flaten, Steve Fuller, Scott Snodgrass, Patrick Smothers, J.J. Stevenson and Aaron White. Interment was in Hazelwood Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

He was born April 9, 1975, in Iowa City and grew up in Grinnell. He attended Grinnell-Newburg Schools with the class of 1993 and has been assistant manager of Grease Monkey in Des Moines.

He is survived by his mother Becky Jurgensen, Kellogg; his father Wil Hotchkin, Grinnell; a son Austin, Grinnell; one brother and one sister, Dustin and Sara Hotchkin, Kellogg; two half sisters, Jennifer and Kiley Hotchkin, Grinnell; his grandparents Caroline and Bernard Hotchkin and Paul and Shirley Jurgensen, Grinnell, and his great grandparents, Cotten Gibson, Malcom, and Lucille Lidtka, Grinnell.
