MARY GORSUCH RITES MONDAY

Mary Myra McGuin Gorsuch, 96, died Friday afternoon at the Willow Gardens Nursing Home in Marion.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Grinnell United Church of Christ-Congregational, with the Rev. Philip J. Ramstad officiating. Organist was Carol Johnson, and pallbearers were members of her family. Burial was in the Jackson Township Cemetery at Montezuma, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Memorials in Mrs. Gorsuch's name may be made to the Grinnell United Church of Christ-Congregational and left at the funeral home.

The daughter of George B. and Olive E. Olson McGuin, she was born Jan. 7, 1889, in Grinnell. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1906 and attended Grinnell College.

On Jan. 1, 1912, she was married to Guy Wilbur Gorsuch. They farmed near Montezuma and Deep River before returning to Grinnell in 1919. Mrs. Gorsuch was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational, a life member of the Pythian Sisters, and a member of the Razelle Club.

She is survived by her son, Robert of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1950 and one sister, Flora Lindstrom.
