RITES HELD FOR BLANCHE BENTLEY

Blanche Bentley, 97, Omaha, Neb., a former resident of the Grinnell and Newburg areas, died Sunday in Omaha. Graveside services were held there.

A memorial has been established in her name at a childrens home in Nebraska.

She was born west of Newburg to Anson and Lydia Moxley, pioneers in that area, and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1906. She worked for many years in the office of the late L.V. Phelps, treasurer of Grinnell College.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie and her son Don Bentley. She is survived by three granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren. A niece, Rachel Sanders, lives in Grinnell.
