David Lowry, 51, of Montezuma died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, near Albia.

A funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Montezuma with burial in West Liberty Cemetery. Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

David Wayne Lowry, the son of Richard and Doris Arthur Lowry, was born Aug. 28, 1959, in Grinnell. He was a 1977 graduate of Grinnell High School. He farmed for a short while prior to the opening of Monte Motor Parts in Montezuma in 1984, focusing on a Kubota dealership. He later opened another dealership in Moravia and currently was the leading Kubota salesman in Iowa, having been No. 1 seller in the nation multiple times.

He is survived by his daughter and sons, Brett Lowry of Grinnell and Deidra Lowry and Dana Lowry of Montezuma; his companion, Candi Crawford of Montezuma and her children Dalton and Josh Crawford; his parents, Richard and Doris Lowry of Montezuma; and his brothers and sister, Ron Lowry of Grinnell, Dennis Lowry of Montezuma and Debbie Halstead of Grinnell.
