ED HALDEN SERVICES HELD

Ed Halden, 68, of Chariton, the father of Bob Halden of Grinnell, died Saturday, Oct. 16, at Lucas County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.19, at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton, with the Rev. Ron Stein officiating. Burial was at the Chariton Cemetery.

The son of George and Esta Halden, he was born April 3, 1914, at Centerville.

He was married to Maxine Slack on Sept. 13, 1936, at Princeton, Mo. They lived in Centerville and Chariton.

Mr. Halden was a men's clothier in Chariton for 42 years. He was active in the Chariton High School Athletic Department.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Kay Benson of Boulder, Colo., and Dee Ann Dernovish of Arvada, Colo.; his son, Bob Halden of Grinnell; eight grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.
