SANDRA PICKENS ADAMS, 67

Sandra Pickens Adams, 67, passed away on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in Alexandria, Va. She is a graduate of the class of 1959, from Grinnell Senior High School, and went on to graduate from Simpson College.

Sandra married Steven Adams on June 3, 1961. They made their home in Alexandria where she worked for Iowa Congressman John Kyle, and other numerous congressional business men. In the past few years, Sandra worked for the National Regional of Salvation Army Headquarters in Virginia.

Sandra loved to go to the theater, read, worship, and work on her miniature doll collection.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Madge Pickens-Easter; and her father, Lee Pickens.

She is survived by her sister, Karen Puls of Grinnell; and two brothers, Kenny Pickens of Crestview, Fla., and Patrick Pickens of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.

Any memorial contributions can be sent to the Stewart Library building funds.

Sandra will be truly missed!
