JANE KLINE

Jane Kline, 51, of State Center died Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in State Center with the Rev. Rick Dagit officiating. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Brooklyn. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mitchellfh.com. Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nov. 10, 1955, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center, one of 11 children born to William and Marcena Kline of Brooklyn. She was raised in Brooklyn, graduating from BGM High School with the class of 1974. She received the registered nurse degree from Des Moines Area Community College. At the time of her death, she was director of nursing at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in State Center and the American Nurses Association.

She is survived by her children, Nicholas Kline of State Center, Michelle Vrba of Des Moines, Kristian Kline of Rincon, Ga., and Danielle Kline of State Center; her mother, Marcena Kline of Brooklyn; her brothers and sisters, Joe Kline of Monticello, Ill., Dr. John Kline of Strawberry Point, Mike Kline of Stanhope, Tom Kline of Ames, Susan Kline of Iowa City, Cathy McConnell of Johnston, Linda Law of West Burlington, Barbie Parker of Brooklyn, Lorry McClenathan of Victor and Ed Kline of Brooklyn, and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father.
