IRMA ANDERSON SERVICES HELD

Irma C. Anderson, 72, died Thursday morning at St. Francis Manor where she had lived since 1975.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Ogata, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Organist was Betty Ann Ashman. Pallbearers were Fred Baker, Dave Barns, Ervin Claus, Virgil Doud, Dean Douglas and Lavern Weaver. Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Ahrens, Walter A. Barnes, Carl Binegar, Verl Garwood, Charles P. Vogel and William Welch. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials in Mrs. Anderson's name may be made to Grinnell General Hospital and left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Otto and Louise Christine Voehl Marousek, she was born April 22, 1907, at Lone Tree. She attended Iowa City schools, graduating from City High School. She also attended the University of Iowa School of Nursing.

On March 4, 1930 she was married to Robert L. Anderson in Cedar Rapids. The couple owned and operated the Maid Rite restaurant here for 37 years.

Before her health failed, she was a member of Beulah Chapter No. 47 of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rozelle Club.

She is survived by her children, Mary Louise Swaner of Carmel, Calif., John Anderson of Grinnell and Mrs. David (Carolyn) Kudej of Grinnell; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Hildegarde Sandahl of Highland Park, Ill., and Mrs. Caroline Radcliffe of Carmel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1962; a daughter in infancy; a son, Robert Anderson, in 1978; her parents; and one brother, L. Richard Marousek.
