DIES; WAS ELDEST
GRINNELL RESIDENT

Abraham Lincoln Stutzman, 102, Grinnell's oldest resident, died Friday afternoon at an Oskaloosa nursing home where he had been a patient for the past three months.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Methodist church at New Sharon with the Rev. Charles Rinkel and the Rev. Gerald Coburn officiating. Burial was in Union Mills cemetery at New Sharon.

Mr. Stutzman was born Mar. 27th, 1859, in McClain county, Ill. Until his retirement many years ago, he had farmed in the New Sharon vicinity. He later moved to Grinnell.

Mr. Stutzman is survived by 102 descendants. In addition to his wife, Mollie of Grinnell they are: eight children, Mrs. Josie Ankeny of New Sharon, Mrs. Ada Phillips of Hall Center, Tex., Oliver Stutzman of New Sharon, Mrs. Ollie Saylor of Ottumwa, Mrs. Lucille Andrews of Oskaloosa, Victor Stutzman of New Sharon, Milton Stutzman of Fremont, and Paul Stutzman of Mankato, Minn.; 22 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
