LAST RITES MONDAY
FOR FRANK BAUMAN

Frank Bauman, 85, died suddenly of a stroke last Friday in his home at Malcom where he had lived since 1939.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Malcom Methodist church in charge of the Rev. James Robinson. Mrs. Lester Schneekloth was organist and Mrs. Keith Stahl was vocalist.

Interment was in Ivy Hill cemetery with Bud Morrison, Floyd White, Raymond McClure, Elmer Schultz, Lloyd Cleppe and Claude Shaffer serving as pallbearers. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Heishman and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Lamb.

Mr. Bauman, born Dec. 18, 1879, in Illinois moved with his parents at an early age to Sac county, Iowa. He was married to Florence Whisenand in 1900 and the couple moved to Oklahoma. They later returned to Iowa, Union county, where they lived until 1906 when they moved to Jones county, S.D. In 1936 they moved to Poweshiek county, Iowa, where they lived ever since. In 1939 Mr. and Mrs. Bauman moved to Malcom.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1956 and a daughter, Lois, in 1944.

Eight children survive. They are Leslie Bauman of Fort Pierce, S.D., Mrs. Paul (Alice) Mallory of Abingdon, Ill., George Bauman of Sand Point, Idaho, Mrs. Allen (Velma) Kies of Hollister, Mo., Lyle Bauman of Malcom, Harold Bauman and Harry Bauman of Brooklyn and Mrs. Ruby Alertson of Malcom. He also leaves 65 grand and great-grandchildren.
