Her mother died in 1862 and her father died Dec. 10th, 1909 at the age of nearly 92 years.

Tillie Sawyer as she was known to her family and many friends, was loved and honored by those who knew her best.

The nieces and nephews whose mothers died when they were little children had a special claim on her loving care and sympathy.

Two years ago she had a fall which caused a double fracture of the hip, from which she never fully recovered. On Jan. 5th she went to the Community Hospital in Grinnell, where she suffered a complication of ailments, hypostatic pneumonia setting in the last few days.

She passed away Feb. 23rd, 1928 at the age of 68 years, 11 months, 13 days. A noble Christian woman has gone to a better home.

She leaves three brothers and three sisters, Enos Sawyer, Grinnell, Ia.; Benjamin and Abel Sawyer of LeGrand, Ia.; Mrs. Martha Anderson of Leland, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Stangeland and Mrs. Charlotte Stanton of Chicago, Ill.
