AHIJAH H. HIATT

Ahijah H. Hiatt, who was brought from Newton to Grinnell last Tuesday evening suffering from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy died on Sunday evening at the home of his brother-in-law, E.H. Schooley, on Spring street. He was aged 82 years. Mr. Hiatt was a respected citizen of Newton and a member of the G.A.R. post there. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon from the Schooley home. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
