Mrs. Johnson, widow of Virgil Johnson, one of the oldest seettlers in Union Township, died early Thursday morning, June 9th. The funeral services were held Friday and the body laid to rest in the Steele Cemetery in Union Township. (Montezuma Republician, 6/14/1898)
