MARY E. GREGORY, 90

Mary Ellen Gregory, 90, of Montezuma, died Sunday, December 28, 1997 at the Montezuma Nursing and rehabilitation Center in Montezuma.

Memorial services were Tuesday, December 30, 1997 at Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma with the Rev. Glenn Hulsebus officiating. Graveside services and interment were Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at Butlerville Cemetery in Butlerville, Ind.

Mary was born May 4, 1907 in Pleasant Township, Poweshiek County, Iowa, the daughter of George and Margaret (Morrison) Beeler. She married Jerry Orvoll Gregory and they made their home in North Vernon, Ind. since 1953.

Orvoll died in 1965. Mary worked a the State Mental Hospital as a nurse's aid. She moved to Montezuma about five years ago and made her home at Sunnyview Apartments until going into the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in February 1997.

While living in North Vernon, she was a member of the Senior Citizens and Golden Circle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1965 and a sister, Clara Reams.

Mary is survived by a brother-in-law, Ralph Reams of Grinnell; three nephews, Ronald, Bill and Larry Reams; a niece, Helena Daugherty; other relatives and friends.
