Feb. 3, 1986RITES HELD FOR MRS. SCHOFIELD
Helen Schofield of Downers Grove, Ill., formerly of Grinnell, died Jan. 11 at Downers Grove after a long illness. She was 85.
The Rosary was recited on Jan. 15, and a mass was celebrated the following day at Mary Our Queen Church in Omaha, Neb., with burial there.
The daughter of William and Ann Hughes, she was born in Grinnell and attended Grinnell High School, later graduating from Newton High School.
She is survived by her son, William Jr. of Downers Grove. A sister-in-law, Dorothy Hughes, lives in Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Schofield, in 1969; her sisters, Katherine Bradley, Beatrice Landis, Dorothy Walcott, Frances McMahon and Nannette Deeds Foster; and her brothers, Edward and James Hughes.
