FATHER PASSES
AWAY WEDNESD'Y

F.B. Glidden, father of Mrs. C.V. Lawton of Grinnell, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Lawton home, 1327 Main street, and brief funeral services were held at the Snyder chapel this afternoon, with Rev. Robert Inglis in charge. Mr. Glidden was 80 years old.

He had been living in Grinnell since February 1, coming here from Faith, South Dakota. There he lived with his second wife, by whom he is survived.

Mr. Glidden was born in Brooklyn, Wis., Feb. 15, 1853, and was preceded in death by his first wife in 1921. In 1878 he moved to Britt, Iowa, and was one of the Pioneers of that community. He was a charter member of the Congregational church in Britt, and was a trustee and deacon for 45 years.

Funeral services will be held in Britt tomorrow afternoon.
