CYPRESS MINCER
SERVICES HELD

Cypress Mincer, 82, of Glenwood Springs, Colo., formerly of Searsboro, died Monday, May 7, at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver after a two-week illness. A retired farmer, he had made his home in Glenwood Springs for the past 20 years.

He was born Dec. 13, 1890, in Mahaska County. He was a graduate of Searsboro High School.

On Oct. 29, 1914, he was married to Fern G. Stilwell at Grand Island, Neb. The couple made their home in Russell, Kan., from 1914 to 1918. They lived in Lincoln, Neb., for two years, then moved to Otis, Colo., in 1920. The Mincers also lived in Boulder and Denver before moving to Glenwood.

Mr. Mincer was a member of the Quaker Church in Searsboro, the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge in Boulder, and the Colorado-Wyoming Numismatic Association.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; one son, Neil S. Mincer of Glenwood Springs; a daughter, Jean M. Larson of Denver; a brother, Earl Mincer of Searsboro; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Mincer were held Thursday, May 10, at the Farnum Chapel, with burial in Rosebud Cemetery.
