Gerald (Jerry) Alderson, 44, Eldora, formerly of Grinnell, died April 21 in Osage, Mo., while on a fishing trip.
Funeral services were held April 25 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dell Rapids, S.D., with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. A memorial to the heart fund has been established in his name.
He was born June 15, 1938, in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Victor and Myra Heng Alderson and was married June 18, 1959, to Mary Lou Herron in Sioux Falls. He was employed by Golden Sun Feeds in Grinnell and Maquoketa and at the time of his death was a feed consultant for United Supplies Co. in Eldora.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Brad; a daughter, Cheryl; his mother; and a brother, Wayne D. Alderson, Dubuque.
