Obituary; dated April 26, 1945

EDGAR CLARENCE DOYLE

Edgar Clarence Doyle, son of Benjamin and Amelia Doyle, was born in Whiteside County, Ill., and departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roger Frazier, south of Montezuma, April 15, 1945, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 29 days.

On October 9, 1890, he was united in marriage to Mary B. Stanford and to this union six children were born, two dying in infancy and Addie at the age of 12.

He was a member of the Methodist Church for many years, and a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife; three children, Mrs. Roger Frazier of Barnes City, Frank Doyle of Tama, and Mrs. Walter H. Allen of New Sharon; one grandson, William E. Doyle of the Army Air Force at Greensboro, N.C.

He is also survived by one brother, Frank Doyle, of Round Up, Montana; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Wilson of Snohomish, Wash., Mrs>\. D.E. Hudson of Montezuma, and Mrs. David Robertson of Harlowton, Montana.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 17, at 2 p.m., from the Steffy Funeral Home. Rev. Merton Wyatt of the Methodist Church was in charge. Music was furnished by Harold Bryan, accompanied by Alice Underwood at the piano.

Interment in the Masonic Cemetery.
