RITES HELD FOR
HELEN COON

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brooklyn for Mrs. Mary Helen Coon, widow of the late Louis Coon. The Rev. Richard Menzel, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, officiated at the services and the Nevenhoven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Coon, a former resident of Broolkyn, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the St. Louis Chronic Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. She was 96 years old.

She is survived by her step-grandchildren, James Severe of Grinnell, Mrs. Mary Dvorak of Newhall, Mrs. Eleanor Kugel of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Mildred Zeller of Palo.

Mrs. Coon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1946,, and a daughter, Mrs Ioa Coon Severe.
