LOUIS E. SPENCER

Word has been received here of the death at Seattle of Louis E. Spencer. Mr. Spencer will be remembered by all who lived here thirty years ago, as well as his wife who was Miss Mary Briggs. Mr. Spencer was the son of C.H. Spencer. He graduated at the State Agricultural College and represented that institution one year in the state oratorical contest. He engaged in the real estate business in Grinnell immediately after graduation, removing to Beatrice, Nebr., in the eighties. He afterwards moved to Denver and to Chicago, and three or four yeas ago to Seattle. His age was about fifty-five years.
