MARY B. SMITH
FUNERAL MONDAY
AT MCANINCH CHAPEL

Funeral services for Mary B. Smith were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 at he McAninch Chapel with the Rev William Morehouse officiating. Mrs. George Keller played the memorial musical selections. Mrs. Ruby Norden and Mrs. Anna Waline cared for the flowers.

Burial was in the Guernsey cemetery. Casket bearers were Ray Schlesselman, George and Elmer Norden, Fred Waline, Charles Mullen and Lawrence Pidima.

Mary B. Vore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Vore, was born in Ohio, Mar. 18, 1864; at an early age she moved to west Virginia with her parents. This was where she met Henry Stull, and they were married; to this union 6 sons and 1 daughter were born.

A few years after Mr. Stull's death, she was united in marriage to Alva Smith of Montour, Iowa. Making their home at Garwin for sometime before moving to the Guernsey community in 1936, where they have made their home ever since.

Mrs. Smith's daughter, Mrs. Lina Haskell, has been in caring for her mother the past 11 years, with the help of the husband and the eldest son, Oscar, of Guernsey. She united with the Methodist church when a young girl and has been a member ever since.

Mrs. Smith had the misfortune of breaking her hip about 4 years ago; she also broke her ankle several months ago and has been confined to her bed and the wheel chair, but she had the best of care and medical aid.

She died at her home Saturday morning reaching the age of 98 years, 4 months and 16 days.
