ALFRED FISK, 95

Alfred Fisk, 95, of Searsboro, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at the Montezuma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon on Thursday ,Aug. 16, with Pastor John Battern officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be a Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Harden Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred Grubb Fisk was born Oct. 24, 1911, in Mahaska County to Daniel and Lulu Fisk. Alfred graduated from New Sharon High School. On June 17, 1929, he was united in marriage with Lucille Leatherman in Marcelina, Mo. Alfred farmed in the New Sharon area for many years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, farming and above all his family.

Alfred is survived by two sons, Dan (Irene) Fisk of Lynnville; 13 grandchildren, Linda (Wayne) Van Ommen, Dale (Ruth) Moore, Dennis (Bonita) Moore, Jackie (Tom) Russell, Jo (Ricardo) Castaneda, Jerri (Ricky) Bittner, Kraig (Dorreen )Fisk, Kristine Fisk, Cindy (Tim) Nelson, Charlotte (Russell) Beyer, Ken McNaul, Cherie McNaul and Dan (Marji) McNaul; 26 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille in 1986; one daughter, Betty Moore; one brother, Harvey Fisk, and a sister, Laura Miller.

Memorials may be made in the family's name.
