LINDA RAE SANDERS, 62

Linda Rae Sanders, 62, of Des Moines, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 15 at the Ivy Hill Cemeery in Malcom. Pastor George Salnave officiated. Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Rescue League.

Linda was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Des Moines. She is the daughter of J.I. McCown and Jean Fayer. Linda graduated from Montezuma High School in 1968. She married Mark Sanders on Dec. 17, 1982.

Linda collected angels, loved dogs and loved to watch movies. Her faith in God was important to her, as was being a wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Jean Fayer.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Sanders; her father, Kenneth Fayer of Deep River; her daughters, Michelle Shook and Melissa De Lisle, both of Des Moines. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy Mann, Blade Street, Anthony Jr., Dante, David and Alissa De Lisle. Marvita McCown, Nancy Nunez and Ron Fayer are her surviving siblings.
