OMA FRANCELIA ORMISTON

Oma Francelia Ormiston, 80, of Brooklyn died Feb. 4, 2000 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral was Feb. 5 at Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma. Warren James, pastor of the Regular Baptist Church in Montezuma, officiated.

Soloist Craig Lang sang "Will The Circle Be Unbroken?" and "In The Garden." Kathleen Ramsey was organist.

Casket bearers were Craig Van Arkel, William Henkle, Marvin Ehret, David Van Arkel, Mike Henkle and Rande Henkle. Honorary casket bearers were Dean and Marilyn Montgomery, Max Montgomery, Mildred and Raymond Ehret and Doris and James Van Arkel.

Interment was in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Ormiston was born June 10, 1919 on a farm near Searsboro to Fred H. and Hazel (Watson) Tish. She worked at Maytag Company in Newton during the war. On Oct. 12, 1946, she married Rex Ormiston at the Little Mount Baptist Church, west of Montezuma.

The couple lived all of their married lives in Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex and two brothers, one in infancy and Rex Tish. Mrs. Ormiston is survived by an aunt, cousins and many good friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
