MRS. IVA SAVILLE
FUNERAL SERVICES
HELD WEDNESDAY

Services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Iva Saville, 82, of Grinnell, from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. She died Sunday morning at the home of her son, Don, in Cedar Rapids.

Conducting the service was the Rev. Kenneth Pohlenz of Grinnell. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Ruth Dunnick and Mrs. Mary Lou Mikel, accompanied by Mrs. Esther Auman on the organ.

Pallbearers were Arthur McDowell, Harvey Mikel Sr., Harvey Mikel Jr., Geogre German, Robert Burnham and Kenneth Palmer. Interment was at Hazelwood cemetery.

The daughter of Elihu and Mathilda Hiatt Schooley, she was born on Mar. 2nd, 1881, on a farm 10 miles south of Grinnell. She attended the rural schools of that area and later moved to Grinnell with her parents.

On Nov. 28th, 1906, she was united in marriage with Harvey Saville at Grinnell. To this union was born one son, Donovan H. Saville, now of Cedar Rapids. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 17th, 1942. Also preceding her in death were her parents and five sisters.

Survivors include her son, four grandchildren, and two great grandsons.

Mrs. Saville was a charter member of the First Friends church of Grinnell.
