MARLAE OLSON

Marlea Olson, 46, of Gulfport, Miss., a native of Grinnell, died of a diabetic disorder Sunday, July 26, at Kessler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

A graveside service was conducted Wednesday evening at Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman, with Pastor Van Ducote of the Northwood Christian Center, Gulfport, officiating. The Smith Funeral Home of Grinnell was in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 4, 1952, in Grinnell to James Kenneth and Doris Pearce McIlrath. She was a high school teacher at the Northwood Christian Academy and a member of the Northwood Christian Center.

Surviving are her husband, Randy of Gulfport; one daughter, Megan Erwin of Gulfport; her mother, Doris Detrick of Marshalltown; and her sister, Gail Oldham of Golden, Colo.
