Bernice McAninch, 86, of Brooklyn and formerly of Victor, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 1987, at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.
She was the daughter of Charles and Anna Kempf Raffensperger and was born on October 23, 1901, at Victor. She attended Victor schools.
On April 10, 1932, she was married to C.D. McAninch at the United Methodist Church in Victor. Mr. and Mrs. McAninch lived in Victor where she operated a beauty parlor and assisted her husband with the operation of the McAninch Furniture Store. Mrs. McAninch has resided at the Brookhaven Nursing Home since 1979.
There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, her parents, and two brothers, Orville and Leonard Raffensperger.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the McAninch-Fremming Funeral Home in Victor with the Rev. Walter A. Martin of Victor, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Jane Alexander. Pallbearers were Edward McAdams, Charles Raffensperger, Gene Raffensperger, John Raffensperger and Thomas Gerard. Burial was in the Victor Memorial Cemetery.
