Naomi Ruth Blodgett, 97, of the Mayflower Home died Tuesday evening.

Funeral services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. A memorial service will be held at Denison Chapel at the Mayflower Home at a later date.

Memorials may be sent to Mayflower Home or to Grace United Methodist Church, Marshalltown.

The daughter of John Samuel and Delilah Perry Colvert, she was born Sept. 25, 1877, in Clarence, Mo. She was married to C. Glenn Blodgett in Shelbina, Mo., on March 18, 1897. She made her home in Marshalltown for 74 years before moving to the Mayflower Home in 1971. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown.

Survivors include a son, Charles R. Blodgett of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Nina Richter of Grinnell; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Sanders of San Diego, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1937 and a daughter, Hazel Yale, in 1948.
