MISS ELEANOR G. MORRISON

A life of beautiful service was ended when Miss Eleanor G. Morrison passed away Sunday night. Her years in Grinnell had not been many but all who knew her loved her for the unassuming beauty of her character. Miss Morrison was an aunt of the late David S. Morrison and of Miss Mary Morrison with whom she made her home here. Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the residence on Fourth avenue, conducted by Rev. E.W. Cross.

Miss Morrison was born Nov. 25, 1832, in Bath, N.H. She received her education in Haverhill, N.Y., and taught in several places in New York state and also in a children's orphan home in Newark, N.J. Later she was head of a children's home in New Jersey where she spent the happiest years of her life in service and love for the children.

Her last active work was in a ladies' aid home in Manchester, N.H., where she resided for twelve years leaving this work to come to Grinnell in 1907 to make her home.
