KATHRYN SLY

Kathryn Sly, 47, of Toledo died Thursday, Nov.28, 1985 at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Henderson Funeral Home in Toledo, with the Rev. Fred Zimmerman of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Grinnell officiating. Burial was in the Eldora Cemetery.

The daughter of Arnie and Geneva Conkin Grulech, she was born on Sept. 2, 1938, in Eldora. Her first marriage was to David Taylor, and on Aug. 16, 1966, she was married to Lee Sly. They lived in Eldora, Malcom and Brooklyn prior to moving to Toledo. Mrs. Sly was employed by Iowa Power and Light until failing health forced her retirement.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eldora.

Survivors include her husband, Lee; her parents, Arnie and Geneva Grulech; her children, Greg Taylor of Brooklyn and Julie McDowell of Malcom; and three grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.
