Hedy Adkins, 92, formerly of Grinnell, died Sept. 16, 2012, at her home in Seal Beach, Calif. She was buried in the Riverside Military Cemetery with her husband.
She was born in Zurich, Switzerland, and came to the United States after World War II to live with her aunt and uncle, Sophie and Frank Fitzpatrick.
She married Morris Adkins in 1954, and shortly after that they moved to California. Morris died April 29, 2012.
She is survived by one brother and several nieces and nephews in Switzerland.
