ROBERT OTCHECK
RITES TUESDAY

Robert R. Otcheck, 43, of Rte. 1, Grinnell, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at a farm sale south of Grinnell.

The son of August and Eunice Malvina Otcheck, he was born Jan. 23, 1929, in Grinnell. He attended Grinnell High School. He was married to Rose Marie Gilliland Sept. 6, 1950; the couple had three children, all of whom survive: Margaret Malvina, a senior at Grinnell High School; Juanita Ruth, an eighth-grade student at Grinnell Junior High school; and Barbara Carol, 13, of Sioux City.

Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Otcheck farmed on the family farm south of Grinnell. He was a breeder of Poland China hogs and Charolais cattle.

Mr. Otcheck was a member of the Oak Grove Friends Church where he had held several lay offices. He was also a member of the Quaker Men of Iowa and a member of the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, his three children and his parents. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Arthur Fowler Otcheck, in 1925.

Funeral services for Mr. Otcheck will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 3 at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Good, pastor of the Oak Grove Friends Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Westfield Cemetery south of Grinnell, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Friends Church, in care of Mrs. Warren Lincoln.
