Freddie, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. D. Sackett, died at the home of his grandfather, Ed Sackett, at 1 o’clock Monday morning, aged 2 years, 6 months and 15 days.

Last Sunday evening Freddie was visiting his grandfather and with other children was playing on a hay rack on a wagon standing in the yard, when a neighbor drove in with his team which were standing with their heads to the rack, when the neckyoke got fastened in the rack the team began backing and pulled the rack off turning it over and in some way striking him on the back of the head and fracturing the skull from which effects he died as above stated.

The funeral sermon was preached at the Fairmount church Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock by Rev. Matt Hughes. The body was taken to Montezuma for interment.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family and friends in this sad hour.
