Lineas Lamb Found Dead in Sheep Lot

End Comes at the T. J. Mehlin Farm Where He Was Helping Prepare for a Sale

Heart Failure is Cause of Death

Lineas Lamb was found dead in a sheep lot at the home of his brother-in-law, T. J. Mehlin of Sheridan township Monday morning between two and three o’clock. Mr. Mehlin was preparing for his big sale which was held Monday and Mr. Lamb was there assisting him in his preparations. He went out of the house Sunday evening and when he did not return to the house and it was found he had not returned to his home, his people went out to look for him. William Bolen, another brother-in-law finally found his dead body in a corner of one of the small sheep lots, where they had separated the sheep into lots ready for the sale.

Lineas Lamb was about 51 years of age, unmarried and had made his home with his mother. He had been afflicted with some sort of heart trouble and doctors had told him that death would probably come to him in some such manner as it did. Dr. Friend, the county coroner, was called but pronounced it a plain case of heart failure and said there was no occasion for holding an inquest and not inquest was held. The body was taken from the Mehlin home to the home of William Bolen. Funeral services were held there Tuesday and he was buried at Malcom.
