MARYNELL H. CARL

Marynell H. Carl, 75, died Thursday, May 9, at St. Francis Manor of Alzheimer's Disease.

Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held May 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Atlantic. Memorial contributions may be made to the organ fund of the First Presbyterian Church, Grinnell.

She was born April 16, 1916, in Guthrie Center, the daughter of Fay and Glenn Holmes. She attended Guthrie Center schools and graduated from high school there after which she attended the American Institute of Business, Des Moines, and the Universtiy of Iowa, Iowa City.

She was married June 27, 1937, in Guthrie Center to Chauncey H. Carl and the couple lived there and in Atlantic. Her husband died in 1973 and since 1976 she had been a resident of Newton, Baxter and Grinnell.

She is survived by one daughter Janet Carl, Grinnell; two sons John Carl, Kellogg, and Joel Carl, Mount Vernon; six grandchildren and one sister Arline Walter, Panora.
