Howard Hicks, ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Allie Hicks, of Deep River, died at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Newton Sunday, September first. Funeral services were held at the Newton home Tuesday afternoon and burial was at the Malcom cemetery.
