Funeral services were held in Brooklyn Monday at the grave for Frank Negus, former Brooklyn resident, who died Saturday, Sept. 23, 1939 at Rock Island.

The Rev. E. W. F. Holler officiated. Mrs. Ray Anthony sang and the pallbearers were Brooklyn friends and former neighbors. They were: Frank Dunton, Will Harrison, Harrison Van Zee, Mark Johnston, Frank Brooks and Henry Frus.

Frank H. Negus was born in Davenport, Iowa, January 5, 1864, and died in Rock Island Sept. 23, 1939. He was the son of Frank and Elizabeth Negus.

He was united in marriage to Minnie York in Brooklyn, Ia., Sept. 26, 1889. To this union five children were born: Mrs. Grace Campbell of Rock Island; Mrs. Meade Lerch of Kenmore, N.Y.; Mrs. Guy Dunton of Brooklyn, and Helen, who died in infancy, and Mr. Clarence Negus of Ottumwa, also four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Bushlow, who survives in Akron, Ia.
