SHIRLEY SELLE
RITES TUESDAY

Shirley Anne Selle, 8, of Rte. 2, Grinnell, died Saturday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Russell K. Boersma, pastor of the Grinnell Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Leonard Pearce, organist, and Gilbert Christopher, vocalist. Flowerbearers will be Mrs. Melvin Hartgers and Mrs. Francis Moyer. Pallbearers will be Robert Anderson, Dennis Grovenburg, Melvin Hartgers and Donald Sarver. Burial will be at Westfield Cemetery southwest of Grinnell.

The daughter of Wayne E. and Shirley M. Cook Selle, she was born Dec. 1, 1966, in Grinnell. She attended Fairview and Cooper schools.

She is survived by her mother, Shirley; one sister, Mrs. Edward (Cynthia Mae) Heck of Grinnell; one brother, Burdette E. Selle of Grinnell; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. George (Fern G.) Cook of Grinnell; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. George (Ada B.) Selle of Rte. 2, Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne, who died in 1972; her brother, Donald Wayne Selle, who died in 1973; her maternal grandfather, George Cook; and her paternal grandfather, George Selle.
