Esther Allene Kraft was born at Brooklyn, Iowa, August 22, 1916, and died at the home of her parents near Manchester, Iowa, on Sunday, March 18, 1923, at the age of six years, 6 months and 24 days.

She lived at Brooklyn, Iowa, until three years ago, when the family moved to their present home just east of Manchester. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Kraft, who with her relatives are left to mourn her loss. She was a member and regular attendant of the Congregational Sunday School.

Three weeks before her death she contracted the measles and a few days later pneumonia developed and after that heart trouble, which was the cause of her death. She was a patient little sufferer and although everything possible was done for her, it was the Lord’s will that she answer His call. Her sweet disposition and lovable ways endeared her to all that knew her.

Note: Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Brooklyn, Iowa.
